Yutaka Hirasaka is a special discovery from Tokyo. Having previously worked with labels such as Orikami Records and Memoir Music, this guitarist and composer is no stranger to the musical landscape.
On his eighth full-length, positively entitled Forever and released through Inner Ocean Records, Hirasaka continues to push boundaries with what the simplest of arrangements can bring to one’s day. Full of bright, cloudy notes, this is an instant chillhop masterpiece merging with influences of artists like William Ackerman, DEPAPEPE, and Daijiro Nakagawa.
Fully instrumental and quite accessible, anyone who enjoys several doses of hopefulness with a warm cup of coffee needs to check this out.
