News: Slacker Rock Darlings Heavy Harold Announce New Record

Heavy Harold are a Philadelphia based two piece and “Giants In Our Own Minds” is their debut full length, following 2015’s debut EP “We Really Should Be Sorry“. For those who missed it, the aforementioned record is an incredibly introspective affair, evoking thoughts of artists such as Big Star and Alex G. This new debut album furthers the slacker rock vibe, but with Heavy Harold comes far less slacking and far more cutting melodic sense – with driving drums, laid back guitar riffs and an overall sense of sombre chillness. With their unique approach to creating distinctly bold, melancholic lyricism and ebbing and flowing tracks, Heavy Harold set themselves apart from their lo-fi contemporaries with something fresh and exciting, something to be treasured, which we look forward to with bated breath.

Explore “Don’t” below, a beautiful lamentful, grooving and sprawling lo-fi rock track sure to inspire.

“Giants In Our Own Minds” comes out via Irish label Little L Records on December 8th, through the formats of cassette, CD and digital release on all major platforms.
